The “Today Show” about Paris Hilton was the most pathetic program I’ve seen On television. It was an insult To Matt and Meridith who are the “anchors” and keep this show going. Those two persons give it value and purpose {dignity} to viewers interest in daily life. Our life can be boring at times and we the people deserve better journalism than what we saw today. Please that interview with Michael *^%# was of no value or merit. Every word out of his mouth was pure garbage! I love Matt and Meridith.

On your piece the other night about the supreme court…you commented how it had moved to the right…after while it occured to me that in all the years I have watched the news & after all the years the court was very Left…I’d never heard you mention that that it was left or liberal.
I have heard you say “the critics say the court is to far left or its liberal”..
but I never heard you say it?? I’m beginning to feel differently about the way you present your news..not sure what these feelings are but I’m not confortable with them. Just wanted you to know…

The piece about the FEMA trailers is totally uncalled for! These trailers are approved for sale to the general public.FEMA uses
materials that are available to help those in need!I didn’t see
any article that complained about the rest of us who bought these trailers for camping and other recreational activities!
What kinda BS are you promoting?

I hope all the manufacturer’s who thought they were saving money outsourcing the making of their products have the same luck that Mattel is having. All the money that they thought they saved will now cost them more by having to recall their product than if an AMERICAN made the product. What a shame that a country like the USA is in the shape it is. It makes me sick to think that just 10 years ago things were so different.
As an American Citizen’s we should demand safe products from the manufacturer’s. They obvioulsy can not control their products made out of this country. As a consumer I will not buy anything that is not made in the good ole USA.

I want to comment on sunday mornings Demo debate– can’t find the place. I’ll do it here.
The U S Constitution, Article vi: …no religious test shall ever be required as a qualification
to any office or public trust under the united states. But this does not deter Mr. Stephanopolus from choosing the cheap question about prayer and hurricanes and the imporance of faith to the candidates. So we get 30 seconds of public piety. Shame on George!

Subject; Your new news format
I have watched NBC news for many many years, I am 60 to give you an idea of how long. You recent changes giving the 5PM slot to gossip TV is appaling, and even worse is moveing Sue Simmons, who to me was NBC news to the 11:00 pm slot is disgraceful. You have made it very easy for me to now shift to ABC at five instead of 7 PM as I had aldredy dumped Briam when the best since Cronkite, Charlie Gibson moved to the 7PM slot.
You did do one good thing letting Kattie and her editorial comments move to CBS, when she became as librel as the NYT I shited to Fox and Friends.

Good morning,
I have been a supporter of the Today Show for many years and of Meredith Viera and David Gregory both. After the show today when he interviewd Laura Bush with regard to the White House Decor for Christmas, I will no longer be watching your ‘new’ broadcast in the a.m. I have never seen such disregard for another person, as when Meredith and David were joking about Meredith not being invited to the White House. Such disrespect has no place in todays news and you both were exceptionally disrespectful, almost to the point of making fun of her and the subject matter you were to cover during the interview. I was embarassed for her - but she showed so much class in her replies and extended an invite to Meredith, who sloughed it off like a joke. I have had it with your prejudicial reporting and attitudes andl be watching another network. Am certain you will not miss me, but I will feel some confidence in knowing I am no longer supporting through my viewing of your so called ‘news program/

I am wondering why you are not addressing the fact that P resident Bush ’s
speech virtually eliminated all senior citizens in this country from his incentive $800 rebate Sr. citizens and low income people represent millions of votes in this country and millions of us are members of the AARP and I
urge all members to vote democratic if this is how we are regarded by the republicans. Will you not even cover this issue on the news? His proposal is discriminatory.

NBC News with Brian Williams The coverage on the SC debate. You only covreed the Clinton Oboma fight. You did not even mention that John Edwards did a great job,I think that he won the debate.Your Piss poor coverage of John Edwards has lost me as me as a viewer F–k NBC NEWS AND THE BOAT YOU CAME OVER HERE ON!!!
on Jan 29th, 2008 at 8:19 am
I agree with everyone who is complaining about the lack of objectivity on NBC during news broadcasts, most specifically Brian William’s and his obvious preferencial treatment of Obama. This is true also on CNN with Anderson Cooper. I hate to admit that Bill O’Reilley was right — only ABC is being fair. I have been loyal to Brian, Keith O., Anderson and Tim Russert for many years — now I’m switching to channel 7 along with many of my friends. Bye,Bye. And, by the way, the more you trod on Hillary, the more we want to vote for her. Remember Iowa and then New Hampshire!!!

re the last item on Brian Williams’ program today, January 29:
I think I have discovered your secret plan to go abroad with your newscast. If this is not so, I can’t figure out why you would spell the title of your last item “Sound Judgement” in the British (international?) form rather than using the American form “Sound Judgment.”
on Feb 15th, 2008 at 5:22 am
I have been watching the today show fpr quite some time, the worse thing you did was to add another hour. Since I get only one channel in the am I watch the today show but have started just turning off the TV as most of the four hours are repeats… And Meredith is the silliest thing that can’t keep her hands off Matt. And lately your guess speak and say things that as a christian I don’t like to hear. Your show come on when young children can watch but I will not have not on with children in the room. One guess Even shocked Hoda saying things like penis, getting it up etc. Then there was Jane Fonda and Meredith just passed it off. If these people think its ok to run around spitting these words out ok but you don’t have to have that on your show. All these sex show are getting to out of hand. Go back to 2 hours and put something on worth watching.

I am a republican and have been for I was 18 I had been planing on voting for hilliary and going to change partys Ilive in FL I waited to see what would happen before I didas far as Im concernd the democrates have thumed there nose at FL and mich. at something the voters had no contol over now they have vote how are we differant from pakistan or other contrys where people vote but are not counted and all the news talk show say it would insult obama to count them what about the insult to the people who showed up to vote that insult them
on Feb 20th, 2008 at 6:02 pm
Hi: It is not obama that is make himself know it is the news reporters. If he was so good why don’t you report all the good he did in the senate his firs term. Look at the changes that the Baby boomer have made over the years, school and religion seperated, can correct your children, can have free health insurance for everybody, but provide local medicare in the billions at our expense. shooting in the school systems, gun control, child abuse, zoning laws. corrupt police force, Is it change we need or is it time that we take back our rights as free americans without the influence of the new reporters, and establish our rights to free speech. The baby boomer chages has only continued to casue correption of our liberties and leading more to a dictatorship than people realize. More of our rights will be taken away if he is nominated for for the party canidate. God help us. Civil rights in reverse. Thank you

I have now heard it all. A judge in NY has ruled that the sister of a man that was engaged in child solicitation for sex, is able to sue NBC for her brother’s suicide. What is the judge smoking? There is NO reason for this lawsuit, it is pure frivolity. This woman and judge should both be hanging their heads in shame. Her brother was a child molester, he killed himself. End of story. The “poor” man felt he had to commit suicide, according to her, because the media was reporting his arrest. Get a life! He was ashamed to be arrested but not too ashamed to try to get little kids to have sex with him? Am I missing something here?
on Mar 5th, 2008 at 2:07 am
i am so upset with your News coverage of the 2008 elections. You are obviously supporting Obama for the Democrat candidate. How could you be so stupid,You do not give fair reporting Hillary Clinton has been shund by your network during this campaign. She is obviously the smarter and better candidate. I do not who his pushing the Obama campaign to the forfrontbut it scares me to think he would be the best candidate the Democrats to get. I believe the Media has had a hand in this joke of a campaign. SHAME ON YOU NBC. YOU should report the news not give one sided reporting which you ahve been doing throughtout this campaign. If Obama becomes President of the Us then God Help us All. NBC stands for NOT BACKING CLINTON. SHAME ON YOU Now wonder Katie Couric left your news staff.
on Apr 2nd, 2008 at 12:36 am
I have always thought NBC strives to be fair and reports all sides of the issue. So I am somewhat puzzled why NBC has not shown the videos of horrible killings, mutitating, and burnings in the riots in Tibet on March 14. Perhaps you have and I am just not aware of it. America and most of the world are unjustly condemning China for maintaining law and order by arresting the murderous criminals who killed indiscriminately including Tibetans. C-span aired this video just once. But I found no report anywhere else about all the mayhem committed by Dalai’s “peaceful” demonstrators. I hope NBC can do America a good service by showing this video so the truth can be known. Or NBC does not have the freedom to do so when a biased congress headed by Pelosi is hell-bent on sticking with the murderous criminals backed by Pelosi’s darling, Dalai Lama?
on Apr 2nd, 2008 at 12:41 am
Thanks so much for airing my post. I have been blocked by so many sites for telling the facts and I almost lost hope to have my post shown here. Thanks for your courage to air unpopular but factual posts. You have restored my respect to the NBC to a large extent. I DO hope NBC can show those terrific videos of burning, property destroying and murdering in Tibet on March 14th. Five young women were burned to death after being chased by knife-wielding “peaceful” Tibetans from downstaris to upstairs. The left ear and eye of a Tibetan doctor were cut out by the “peaceful” followers of Dalai Lama. the winner of Nobel Peace Prize.
on Apr 2nd, 2008 at 12:44 am
A Swedish cyclist said the hotel he stayed in Lhaso was burned down in front of his eyes. Most Americans are totally oblivious of these hard facts. So many just jump on the band wagon of condemning China for “cracking” down on the criminals. So should China just let the killing and burning sprees go one without stopping it?
on Apr 2nd, 2008 at 12:47 am
Pelois and the U.S. congress are making another blunder by supporting ramgaging criminals in the disguise of religous dissent. Remember how we were swept into the Iraqi invasion by Challaby who was the anti-Saddam darling of US congress and the kind of ignorant politician like Pelosi.
on Apr 2nd, 2008 at 12:52 am
Pelosi should read Dame Thather’s autobiograhy. Dame Thather said in her book that China’s sovereignty over Tibet has never been disputed by anyone one or any nation. Pelosi is a bona-fide pioneer in disobeying international law.
on Apr 2nd, 2008 at 12:54 am
Thanks for your guts to show my posts. Pelosi might make life hard for you. But if we are all afraid and dare not stick to the facts, our nation will be doomed again.

The interview tonight by Brian Williams with John McCain was so unfair. He was drowned out by the speakers across the balcony. He should have been given the same courtesy as Clinton and Obama. Shame on NBC for playing politics and allowing this shame to happen. John McCain should have been given a clear and audible interview just as the two others recieved. Typical politics in this country that I love and served.

o.k. this is for everyone!!!! 2 to 3 years ago my 2 sons and I come up with a new power design, that runs on 12-v car batteries, puts out 0 emmissions burns 0 fuels. out of all that time we (my sons and i)submitted the design to the pattent office for patent, we have been denied because I am on ss disability live on min. money monthly trying to raise 3 teenagers on that money, So I dont have the money to pay someone to submit it to the patent office the way they want it! the first time denied the reason was my margins were not correct, The second time my lines were too close, the third time (we are sorry to tell you that the second notice was sent by mistake but now your pictures arent good enough!!! ive contacted several news medias to try to get my (plea for help to try to get my story out to try to get some help with trying to do some good for the world) and so far It seems like the majority of the mainstream media just totally ignore me!! so I guess what I am trying to say is if any one reads this and really cares about pollution, the price of fuels, the fact that there are som people that seem to think that if we burn up most of our food source(corn) we could go on and on….. please try to contact me @ timlaplant22@yahoo.com I am going to keep trying to get this patented and I hope we can get some help with this thing soon… Tim LaPlant Inventor reedsport oregon

regarding nightly news 17 april ref:PTSD as a 3 tour (48months) vietnam veteran i think you were wrong in ref: to time between action (combat) that ground troops in nam experienced as compared to troops in the current war. slogging through jungles always on the alert for booby traps, snipers, attacks by larger forces etc.,as i recall the most time i had between any combat operation of any size was rarely if ever more than 72/96 hours. i can tell you that i spent a total of 36 months as an infantryman in nam.1year in 1/16 inf (1st inf div),D2/14 inf (6mos)d 1/506 inf (101st abn div) and 1 yr on 5 man MACV inf advisory team member with a company of popular vietnamese force. so please do more research on combat units in vietnam before making comparisions.

IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO REACH THE NEWS PORTION OF NBC TO SEND A COMMENT. I AM SO TIRED OF HEARING ” JUST GO TO OUR WEB SITE” IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND ANYTHING OR GET ANY INFORMATION ON ANY THING.
ALSO, THE TODAY SHOW IS A JOKE. THERE IS PRACTICALY NO NEWS THERE, YOU COOK, YOU TALK ABOUT HOW AFFORDABLE A $350 DRESS. MOST PEOPLE ARE HAVING TROUBLE BUYING FOOD AND GASOLINE. LIVING ON A SALARY OF $400 A WEEK USED TO BE POSSIBLE. NOT NOW!
I WATCH TO KNOW WHAT IS HAPPEINIG IN THE WORLD, BUT ALMOST NEVER FIND OUT.
ANYTHING I TRULY WANT TO HEAR IS TALKED OVER BY SO MANY OF YOUR STARS. IT FEELS LIKE THE PROGRAM IS NOW ONLY A PROMOTION OF THE HOSTS. THE LENGTH OF TIME GETS LATER AND LATER. i DO NOT WATCH THE 4TH HOUR NOW. AND WILL PROBABLY STOP WATCHING THE REST SOON. I HAVE WATCHED THE SHOW SINCE REMEMBER DAVE GARAWAYN THE EARLY DAYS. I WISH FOR THOSE DAYS AGAIN.

All the Washington bunch try to act like they are so smart and they just can’t seem to understand why the money worries have hit us so hard and news showing older couples sleeping in their van and older people as well as children and all between don’t have money for food and medicine.DUH???How about shipping our jobs to foreign countries, send billions overseas to the hungry, tear up Iraq and then pay to fix,and still the people overseas hate our guts……meanwhile our people sleep in vans ,no help to keep thier houses, choose between food or meds, this medicare rx plan is awful due to the early mid year donut hole, gas so high people working for low wages can’t buy it. Iraq sitting on oil that needs to fund our army and rebuild their own country. Little children right here in United states goes to bed at night hungry??????Does anybody care????

I do not like the idea of the news casters calling my Pastor Jerimaih Wright. I resent the fact that you cvall him by his first name. Were you ever taught to address ministers by their title? His name is REV. JERIMIAH A. WRIGHT, not Jerimiah, or even Jerimiah Wright. What is wrong with giving him his due title, he worked hard for. Respect them an for who he is “A man of God”.
All we hear is this mess about him being controversial. Have you ever attended one of our services to hear him preach?
He was an excellent pastor, and is sorely missed by our congregation. While our new pastor is excellenet in his own right, Rev. Wright was one of the most dynamic preachers I have ever heard in all of my adult years.
Thank you,

I would like to propose that NBC NEWS encourage Senator Lieberman and Israelis not to interfere with our internal democratic processes. Israel is our ally not our enemy; however, this is our American presidential election not an Israeli Knessett election. Middle East conflict politics ought not to take precedence over American international and global interests. Senator Lieberman suddenly became an Independent just so he can support a Republican for president. This is an unprecedented, unabashed attempt to channel all election energies towards Arab-Jew fratricidal conflicts rather than towards our own concerns. Neighborly peace is the answer for these sons of Abraham. Election 2008 is an American election and not an Israeli Knessett election. Senator Lieberman ought to remember he is an American and not an Israeli. Thank you very much with God’s blessings for the United States of America. Sincerely, Leo Emmanuel Lochard, BA, MA, Certified Teacher, State of Illinois.

I will not be watching any of your ultra left wing liberal news programs any longer. I’ll also be emailing your local affiliate as to how I feel about your network. What ever happened to the news being non biased. Especially the interview of the today show twits and how Meredith will not be invited to the White House, I can see why, she is a vial mean person. I would invite her to one of Michael Vicks dog fights. Shame on you, and remember when enough people get fed up with your crap, you’ll be either changing you ways or go out of business.
AND…..you show the intire interview with President Bush on you web site, but you butchered it on the nightly news. Again shame on you. I will be saying and doing whatever is necessary to make sure you people straighten your act out.

I’ve been informed by the print medium that Tim Russert chose to distance himself from Don Imus and not offer support IN ANY FASHION during the Rutgers women’s team debacle - a situation that was worsened by the shameless publicity mongering by the Rutger’s coach and certain team members at the time. The newspapers also wrote that it was Imus who gave Russert an opportunity to shine on most every occasion on his radio program. Today Russert died and one would think that it was Christ on the cross all over again. I have NO respect for any human so enchanted with his personal career path so as to turn his back on at least one person who helped him become the fucking saint that is being touted to the viewer today. The “truthiness” of the real person will be buried along with him in euphemisms. We’re already told what to eat and not; which drugs to pester our doctor to precribe; how we should feel about various politicos and celebrities. Now we’re being told for whom to grieve - AND WHY. There is a reason teenagers don’t read papers, watch TV; and display a total disregard (religiously and for some: negatively) for contemporary adult American culture. I suppose the only person who could substantiate the aforementioned writ is Mr. Imus - but, unlike me, he would be too much of a gentleman to comment.
on Jun 18th, 2008 at 3:32 pm
I know there was a website set up for condolences over the loss of Tim Russert, however, I am unable to recall it.
I can really add nothing to the outpouring of sentiment already conveyed by so many, however, i need to express something as the loss of him, unbelievably to myself, is a loss that has gathered of my soul such a void the likes of which can only be compared to that of the passing of my Mom and younger brother.
He is what this country is all about, to the core, in its ideals, family institutions and brotherhood. I dare say i know i’m not out on an ambivilence of nonsense when i declare Tim is the same fabric of the true fonding fathers of the United States of America. He is of the exact tapestry of the Constitution of the hopes and dreams of the offspring of this wonderful Nation. Tim’s life embodied our Country as true salt that flavors, preserves and encourages. I can see him looking over his glasses at George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Benjamin Franklin and the same looking into the future hoping to spawn the same ilk some over 150 years later …”in order to form a more perfect Union…” and they were rewarded in him.
I am happy for him, but, for his family including his wife and son, NBC and this nation, his extended family, i need to greive.
on Jun 18th, 2008 at 7:19 pm
my deepest sympathy to the family of Tim Russert. There will be no one to take his place with such character and charisma. A friend of mine now 88yr. has said, she wqs quite upset, with his loss. She enjoyed him so much as did i. His love and respect for his son is the best gift he could have given him and a legacy to live up to. Be himself would be what his dad would want most. He knew he was loved by him and his wife he showed that in who he was. My best to them and prayers for them as Tim didnt need them, his life showed that. God Bless them and take care of them as they grieve for him sincerely eileen morrill quincy, ma

We all mourn the passing of Tim Russert. We, an extra bit of sorrow, because he belonged to our parish next to John Carroll University. Last night Tim’s charitable work was highlighted and I thought how seldom good deeds are nationally broadcast.
Wouldn’t it be wonderful if you started a Tim Russert Award for being a decent and caring person. Once a week you could highlight, on the news, someone who sets a positive example. Someone who leads a good moral life and does things to better their community.
Too often only the bad behavior is shown and in many cases, particularly with celebrities, flaunted and revered. Tim lead an examplmary life and it should be commerated.

Today is July,18.08. Just a thought; there are many ways in which oil is used besides gas. Every one complains about the high cost of gas. What about all the oil that goes into clothing, water bottles, soda bottles,etc.etc.. The key board I’m typing on is a petroleum product. WHAT EVER HAPPENED TO GLASS, COTTON, RUBBER and other non petrol products?
Why hasn’t some one harvested the gathering plastics that are collecting and killing sea life? Couldn’t that be recycled?
Just wondering!

Attn: VP NBC News,
Why not just post at the top and bottom of every news cast the following: “We are a firm supporter of Obama for president of the U.S.; in fact, we consider him already elected and are just going through the motion until he is the president.” You’re entire news department is so biased that it is an embarrassment, especially to any young Journalism student who would be looking to your network to immulate. Please! I have not and will not watch a single news cast, or any type of your programming, of your network. What happen to Journalism 101? You and your entire team have simply forgotten, or just ignore the basic rule of Journalism: “Who, What, When & Where - only; Do not show any preference. Be unbiased.” Shameful! Un-American!

Bob Levy (Ex Mayor of A.C.) put 20 years in the Military including two years in Vietnam, it wouldn’t matter if he was a cook during that time,I’m sure he witnessed an ugly War. The sounds of exsposives, dead bodies torn apart and the unforgetable smell of burnt flesh are just a few memories that some soldiers can’t get rid of. Unless you’ve been there or have had a loved one who was there, you’ll never begin to know. They couldn’t pay me enough to risk my life for a country who takes better care of foreigners than their own Veterans. What kind of record keeping does the military have anyway? Sounds like somebody is sleeping on the job if part of his records are missing. I think Levy has paid his dues!

Meredith, one I remember when you were a cub reporter @ WJAR you have gotten so soft or are a lyer on your interview with the corrupt Speaker of the house, you were going to ask her about her promises when she took over, Meredith you never asked any ? about anything or her saying they would lower the gas & fuel prices & now they have doubled them like her you are still questionable as a compentent reporter as she is speaker of the house. You as NBC have gone so far to the left I can not watch your trash anymore. You were told a long time ago to be fair to all news stories , I guess you forgot that?

I have tried to watch Brian Williams news program ,but like all of your other news you are so ridiculously predjudiced to Obama I cannot take it any longer. Are you trying to run off all but liberal viewers. WHy not give quarterly reports on the earnings of Brian and your other celebrety entertainers and so called newscasters. Discouraged in Texas. (Oh I forgot, you hate Texans) JB

Why did you have to spoil a perfectly good televised portion of the olympics with those moments with George Bush? The man who quietly stands for hurting more people in this country as well as other foreign lands. I had to leave the room! I am sure that I am not the only American that gets ill when I see this horrible leader given gratuitiously, air time for his continued lies.
I would be surprised if he even knew versly what Bob Kostos was even talking about. However, I do understand that if NBC had the opportunity to talk with other scurilous criminals then it would also be the networks obligation to bring those moments forward and have safe, small, nice talk as well.

John Edwards’ act of infidelity would make a wonderful and informative piece of news to help people understand that people in power positions are not corrupted by the power but rather they are lacking in personal power. This is an indicator of a lack of integrity. Lord Acton is often quoted, “power currupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely” was effectively disputed by Herbert Spencer of “Dune” in an interview in Psychology Today several years ago. He stated that power cannot corrupt but people in positions of power are often corrupt. It seems to me that it takes forever for people to become educated when truth is readily available. This is an opportunity for the news media to do some educating rather than just repeating the tired old dogmas of the past.

To Andrea Mitchell. so you ‘heard’ form an Obama source that McCain cheated. Just another example of the bias in maistream media. Just another reason to stay tuned in to Fox news.

How come NBC Olympic coverage never shows the medal ceremonies when no American athletes are on the podium?
Case in point: Yesterday, Matthew Mitcham scored a huge upset over the Chinese in mens platform diving but scoring an almost perfect dive and NOT ONE SINGLE NBC channel showed the ceremony.
They went straight to the next event where Americans were favored to win gold.
I think it shows poor sportsmanship on the part of NBC news!

YOU ARE CRUCIFING SARAH PALIN. HER PROFESSIONAL OR POLITICAL LIFE IS OPEN TO REVIEW BUT HER FAMILY MEMBERS ARE NOT PUBLIC FIGURES. DON’T YOU REALIZE THE 17 YEAR OLD GIRL IS ALREADY TERRIBLY EMBARRASSED AND NOW THE WHOLE WORLD KNOWS ABOUT HER. HER SITUATION IS NOW PUBLIC AND HER NAME SHOULD NEVER BE MENTIONED AGAIN ON TELEVISION, RADIO OR IN THE NEWSPAPERS. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH. IF YOU HAVE A HEART, PLEASE LEAVE SARAH’S CHILDREN AND HUSBAND ALONE.
